Ramon "CZ" Colon-Lopez

Ramon “CZ” Colon-Lopez is a retired Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and one of the most respected Special Operations leaders of his generation. Rising from an enlisted airman to the highest enlisted position in the U.S. military, his career was defined by service at the very edge of risk, responsibility, and mission execution.

As a member of Air Force Special Operations, Colon-Lopez spent decades operating in complex, high-threat environments around the world. His leadership under fire and extraordinary courage earned him the Air Force Cross, the nation’s second-highest award for valor. But beyond his decorations, he is known for something more enduring—the ability to build trust in teams where trust is the difference between success and failure.

Throughout his career, Colon-Lopez led elite teams tasked with solving problems where there were no clear answers, no perfect information, and no margin for error. He understands what it means to make decisions in uncertainty, to lead when conditions are constantly changing, and to create alignment in environments defined by chaos.

Today, he brings those lessons to organizations facing their own version of complexity and uncertainty. His message is clear: leadership is not about control—it is about trust, adaptability, and ownership at every level. He equips leaders with the mindset and tools needed to operate effectively when the path forward is unclear and the stakes are high.
